An Aeroflot Boeing 777-300, registration VQ-BQE performing flight
SU-275 from Phuket (Thailand) to Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia), was accelerating for takeoff from Phuket's runway 27 when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed (about 60-70 KIAS) due to the failure of the left hand engine (GE90). The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.
The aircraft is still in Phuket (Standing Dec 22nd 2021).
Rosaviatsia reported the crew did not shut the engine down, both were kept running. The reason for the engine failure was identified to be the failure to reach takeoff mode and associated drop of fuel pressure.
