An Aeromexico Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration XA-DAP performing flight
AM-371 from Tapachula to Mexico City (Mexico), was enroute when the power bank of a passenger on an empty seat suffered a thermal runaway. The device was secured. The aircraft landed safely on Mexico City's runway 05R. The power bank was handed to emergency services.
The aircraft is still on the ground about 25 hours after landing.
