An Air Algerie Boeing 737-600, registration 7T-VJU performing flight AH-2024 from Algiers (Algeria) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy), landed on Rome's runway 16R but suffered a brakes problem on rollout preventing the aircraft from vacating the runway. The runway needed to be closed for a number of hours.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 51 hours, then returned to Algiers.
