An Air Algerie Boeing 737-800, registration 7T-VJO performing flight AH-1460 from Constantine (Algeria) to Lyon (France), was climbing through FL330 out of Constantine when the crew initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released. The aircraft returned to Constantine for a safe landing.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration 7T-VKF reached Lyon with a delay of 11 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Constantine about 54 hours after landing.
