An American Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration N121UW performing flight AA-310 from Norfolk,VA to Charlotte,NC (USA), was climbing out of Norfolk's runway 23 when the crew requested to level off at 7000 feet for a while. The FAA reported "AIRCRAFT STRUCK A BIRD, NORFOLK, VA." resulting in "unknown" damage to the aircraft.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Norfolk about 18 hours after landing back.
