NH-609 from Tokyo Haneda to Miyazaki (Japan) with 263 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 40nm south of Nagoya (Japan) when the crew decided to divert to Nagoya due to a cracked windshield. The aircraft landed safely on Nagoya's runway 36 about 20 minutes after leaving FL360.
A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration JA618A reached Miyazaki with a delay of 4:15 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 53 hours after landing in Nagoya.
