G9-287 from Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) to Istanbul (Turkey), was enroute at FL360 about 120nm east of Ankara (Turkey) when the crew decided to divert to Ankara reporting the failure of one of their engines (CFM56). The aircraft landed safely on Ankara's runway 03L about 35 minutes later.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Ankara until Jul 6th 2025, then returned to Sharjah and resumed service the following day.
