I5-1569 from Delhi to Surat Gujarat (India) with 84 people on board, was climbing out of Delhi's runway 29R when the crew stopped the climb at FL070 due to a bird strike, which cracked one of their windshields. The aircraft returned to Delhi for a safe landing on runway 29L about 35 minutes after departure.
A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration VT-JRT reached Surat Gujarat with a delay of about 6.5 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 11.5 hours after landing.
