An Azerbaijan Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration 4K-AZ11 performing flight
J2-5001 (Sched. Dep Aug 12th, actual dep Aug 13th) from Baku (Azerbaijan) to Delhi (India), was enroute at FL330 over the Caspian Sea about 200nm southsoutheast of Baku when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 reporting they had pressurization problems. The aircraft returned to Baku, burned off fuel and landed safely back about 2:45 hours after departure and about 2:15 hours after leaving FL330.
A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration 4K-AZ82 reached Delhi with a delay of about 6.5 hours.
The airline reported the aircraft returned due to a technical reason, another aircraft took the passengers to Delhi.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Baku about 16 hours after landing back.
