An Air Baltic Bombardier C-Series CS-300, registration YL-ABI performing flight
BT-252 from Hamburg (Germany) to Riga (Latvia), was climbing out of Hamburg's runway 23 when the crew stopped the climb at about 12,000 feet after a lightning had struck the aircraft. The aircraft returned to Hamburg for a safe landing on runway 23 about 25 minutes after departure.
The flight was cancelled.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Hamburg about 43 hours after landing back.
