A Belavia Embraer ERJ-195, registration EW-513PO performing flight B2-729 (dep Jul 28th) from Minsk (Belarus) to Kutaisi (Georgia), was enroute at FL340 about 200nm northwest of Astrakhan (Russia) when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (CF34) down after the engine failed. The aircraft drifted down to FL210 and diverted to Astrakhan for a safe landing on runway 27 about 50 minutes later.

A replacement ERJ-195 registration EW-514PO reached Kutaisi with a delay of about 12.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Astrakhan about 19 hours after landing.
