A Canadian North Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-200, registration C-FRQA performing flight
5T-5858 from Yellowknife,NT to Cambridge Bay,NU (Canada) with 2 crew, had touched down at Cambridge and was slowing through 70 knots when the aircraft began to veer left, despite attempts by the crew to maintain center line the aircraft continued to the left and exited the runway side at about 30 knots and came to a stop with the nose landing gear and left main gear in the snow aside the runway. The aircraft was shut down and towed to the apron.
The Canadian TSB reported there were no injuries and the aircraft did not receive any damage. Company maintenance is going to advice the TSB about the findings.
