A Canadian North Boeing 737-400, registration C-FFNF performing flight 5T-163 from Kuujjuaq,QC to Montreal,QC (Canada) with 43 passengers and 4 crew, was just about levelling off at FL360 after climbing out of Kuujjuaq when the right hand engine (CFM56) rolled back. The crew declared emergency and returned to Kuujjuaq for a safe landing about 55 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-300 registration C-FGCN positioned to Kuujjuaq and reached Montreal with a delay of about 6:50 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Kuujjuaq about 48 hours after landing back.
