A China Southern Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration B-6200 performing flight
CZ-3488 from Lijang to Guangzhou (China), was accelerating for takeoff from Lijang when a loud bang occurred and the crew rejected takeoff due to an engine (CFM56) failure. The aircraft slowed safely.
Chinese Media reported some parts fell off the aircraft.
A replacement A319-100 registration B-6408 was dispatched to Lijang and reached Guangzhou with a delay of about 7 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground (standing 14.6. 18:00Z) about 128 hours (5 days and 8 hours) after the rejected takeoff.
