A Dan Air Airbus A319-100, registration YR-URS performing flight
DN-402 (dep Dec 1st) from London Luton,EN (UK) to Bacau (Romania), was descending towards Bacau when the crew repeatedly received ECAM messages "NAV GPS 1 and 2 FAULT". Although a high precision approach was available the crew found themselves 4nm to the right of the localizer and attempted to regain LOC and GS but received an EGPWS TERRAIN message. The aircraft climbed to FL110, requested vectors to intercept the final approach and landed safely on runway 34 about 25 minutes after aborting the first approach.
Romania's SIAA opened an investigation into the occurrence rated a serious incident.
