A DAT Danish Air Transport Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-500, registration OY-RUF performing flight
DX-1846 from Lampedusa to Catania (Italy) with 48 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing out of Lampedusa's runway 26 when the crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet reporting a right hand engine fire indication (PW127E). The crew shut the engine down and returned to Lampedusa for a safe landing on runway 26 about 25 minutes after departure.
Passengers reported the right hand propeller stopped turning.
