A Delta Airlines Airbus A330-200, registration N824NW performing flight
DL-251 from Barcelona,SP (Spain) to Boston,MA (USA) with 296 people on board, was enroute at FL320 over the Atlantic Ocean about 380nm northwest of Porto (Portugal) when the crew turned the aircraft around, descended to FL100 and diverted to Porto. On approach the crew reported they had 10-12 people affected, two flight attendants were on oxygen not feeling well at all. The aircraft landed on Porto's runway 36 about 80 minutes later.
Portuguese Authorities reported the aircraft diverted due to smoke on board, 3 passeengers were taken to a hospital and 8 passengers were treated at the airport.
The airline reported a mechanical issue.
A passenger reported a burning odour near to the 2L door.
