A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N193DN performing flight DL-1709 from Cincinnati,KY to Atlanta,GA (USA), was accelerating for takeoff from Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport's runway 27 when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed (about 135 knots over ground) following a bird strike. The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.

The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT WAS ON TAKE OFF ROLL AND ABORTED DUE TO STRIKING A BIRD, COVINGTON, KY.", the damage was "UNKNOWN" and the occurrence was rated an incident.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 4 hours, then departed and reached Atlanta with a delay of 4 hours.
