An Easyjet Airbus A321-200N, registration G-UZME performing flight U2-2058 from Heraklion (Greece) to Manchester,EN (UK), was enroute at FL340 about 80nm eastnortheast of Milan (Italy) when the captain decided to divert the aircraft to Milan Malpensa due to the first officer needing medical assistance. The aircraft landed safely on Malpensa's runway 35L about 25 minutes later.

The airline reported the captain diverted the aircraft to Milan Malpensa due to the first officer requiring medical assistance. The captain performed a routine landing, the aircraft was met by medical services. The passengers were put in hotels and given meals. The flight was rescheduled to the following morning.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Milan for about 12 hours, then continued the journey to Manchester.
