An Egypt Air Boeing 737-800, registration SU-GDC performing flight
MS-843 from Cairo (Egypt) to Tunis (Tunisia) with 91 passengers , was on approach to Tunis' runway 01 when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence causing injuries to two cabin crew. The aircraft went around, repositioned for another approach to runway 01 and landed without further incident about 13 minutes after the go around.
The airline reported two flight attendants received minor injuries when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence due to bad weather while on approach to Tunis, none of the passengers received injuries. The aircraft performed the return flight with 99 passengers.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Tunis for 3 hours, then departed as flight MS-844 to Cairo.
