EI-3670 from Belfast City,NI to Leeds,EN (UK), was enroute at FL170 about 50nm southeast of Belfast near the Isle of Man when the crew decided to return to Belfast City. The aircraft landed safely on Belfast City's runway 22 wih emergency services on standby about 35 minutes after departure.
Local police reported a piece of panelling had falled from the aircraft in flight.
The airline reported the aircraft returned shortly after takeoff due to a technical issue.
The aircraft returned to service about 23 hours after landing back.
