An Eurowings Airbus A320-200, registration D-AEUH performing flight
EW-4600 from Stockholm (Sweden) to Berlin (Germany) with 128 people on board, had lined up runway 19R from taxiway Y9 and was accelerating for takeoff from runway 19R when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed (about 100KIAS) after an engine (CFM56) ingested a bird. The aircraft slowed safely reaching taxi speed about 1500 meters/5000 feet from the intersection Y9 and returned to the apron.
A replacement A319-100 registration D-AGWA reached Berlin with a delay of 6 hours.
Arlanda's emergency services reported an engine failed emitting a streak of flames and a bang prompting the crew to reject takeoff. The aircraft slowed safely and vacated the runway. There were no injuries.
