An Air France Airbus A350-900, registration F-HTYE performing flight AF-427 from San Jose (Costa Rica) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 334 people on board, was enroute at FL400 about 160nm southsouthwest of Nassau (Bahamas) when the crew decided to divert to Nassau. The aircraft landed safely on Nassau's runway 14 about 35 minutes after leaving FL400.

A passenger reported that although cabin crew had been released for service cabin crew did not start service, the passenger noticed some sort of anxiety amongst the crew. About 1.5 hours after departure the entire inflight entertainment system went out. The flight crew announced, they had received a smoke indication and were diverting to Nassau. After landing fire fighters in full gear entered the cabin and searched the aircraft with the passengers still on board.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Nassau until Dec 3rd 2025, then positioned to Paris and resumed service.
