A Gofirst Airbus A320-200N, registration VT-WDA performing flight G8-274 from Bangalore to Patna (India) with 142 passengers and 6 crew, was on approach to Patna's runway 25 when the aircraft received a bird strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 25.

The airline reported a post flight inspection found a dent in the right hand wing of the aircraft following the bird strike shortly before landing, the aircraft was deemed unfit to continue flying.

A replacement A320-200N registration VT-WJD performed the return flight G8-273.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 12.5 hours after landing in Patna.
