A Gol Transportes Aereos Boeing 737-800, registration PR-GUJ performing flight
G3-1445 from Brasilia,DF to Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil), was climbing out of Brasilia's runway 11R when the crew stopped the climb at FL280 after a bird strike into the right hand engine (CFM56) during the initial climb causing a streak of flames. The aircraft returned to Brasilia for a safe landing on runway 11R about 35 minutes.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration PR-GXM reached Sao Paulo with a delay of about 2 hours.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground about 23 hours before returning to service.
