An Air Iceland Connect de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration TF-FXI performing flight FI-61 from Egilsstadir to Reykjavik (Iceland), was on final approach to Reykjavik's runway 31 descending through about 500 feet when a helicopter flew into their flight path forcing the Dash crew to take an evasive maneouver by performing a climbing left 360. The aircraft subsequently continued the approach and landed safely about 5 minutes later.

Iceland's ANS (Civil Aviation Authority) forwarded the information about the occurrence to Iceland's RNSA (Aircraft Accident Investigation), the RNSA is going to decide whether an investigation will be opened.
