An Indigo Airbus A321-200N, registration VT-IMI performing flight 6E-723 from Kolkata to Chennai (India) with 224 people on board, was descending through about 6000 feet towards Chennai about 10 minutes prior to estimated landing when the crew declared emergency reported the left hand engine (LEAP) was inoperative. The aircraft landed safely on runway 25 about 9 minutes later.

The airline reported a "technical snag".
