A Japan Transocean Airlines Boeing 737-800 on behalf of JAL Japan Airlines, registration JA01RK performing flight
JL-182 from Komatsu to Tokyo Haneda (Japan) with 160 people on board, was accelerating for takeoff from Komatsu's runway 24 when an engine (CFM56) ingested a bird prompting the crew to reject takeoff at high speed. The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.
The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto later flights.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Komatsu about 19 hours after the rejected takeoff.
