A Jazz de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GJZX performing flight
QK-8637 from Halifax,NS to Ottawa,ON (Canada), was enroute at FL220 about 75nm northwest of Halifax when the crew received a IOP2 (Input/Output Processor 2) failure caution message, declared PAN PAN and requested a VFR Block of Airspace to burn off fuel. ATC cleared the aircraft to hold at 6000 feet. The aircraft landed back in Halifax about 100 minutes after departure.
The TSB reported maintenance replaced the IOP2 module.
