A Jin Air Boeing 737-800, registration HL8247 performing flight
LJ-115 from Busan (South Korea) to Nha Trang (Vietnam) with 150 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Busan's runway 36R when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet reporting a bird strike into the right hand engine (CFM56) and entered a hold. The crew subsequently decided to divert to Seoul (South Korea), the aircraft climbed to FL180 and landed safely on Seoul Incheon's runway 33L about 2:10 hours after departure.
The airline reported due to night curfew at Busan and the availability of a replacement aircraft in Seoul the crew decided to divert to Seoul.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration HL8246 reached Nha Trang with a delay of about 5 hours.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 22 hours before returning to service.
