A Kenya Airways Boeing 737-800, registration 5Y-CYC performing flight KQ-784 from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town (South Africa), landed on Cape Town's runway 19 but became disabled on the runway due to a number of burst tyres. The aircraft was finally moved off the runway about 3.5 hours after landing.

The aircraft had earlier diverted on its flight from Nairobi (Kenya) to Cape Town to Port Elizabeth.

The airline reported a burst tyre.
