A LATAM Brasil Airbus A319-100, registration PT-TPB performing flight
LA-3184 from Sao Paulo Congonhas,SP to Fortaleza,CE (Brazil), was climbing through FL210 out of Congonhas Airport when the crew received a cargo smoke indication and decided to divert to Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) for a safe landing on runway 27R about 30 minutes after departure.
Brazil's CENIPA reported nothing abnormal was found during inspection in the cargo compartments of the aircraft.
The aircraft returned to service about 7 hours after landing.
