A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200N, registration D-AIJD performing flight
LH-7 from Hamburg to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was in the climb out of Hamburg's runway 33 when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet and returned the aircraft to Hamburg for a safe landing on runway 23 about 25 minutes after departure.
A passenger reported the captain announced they could not retract the nose landing gear. They were rebooked onto other flights.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Hamburg about 33 hours after landing back.
