A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIZA performing flight
LH-1264 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Salzburg (Austria) with 153 people on board, was accelerating for takeoff from Frankfurt's runway 18 when the crew rejected takeoff at about 80 KIAS due to a burst nose gear tyre. The aircraft slowed safely. The aircraft was towed back to the apron about 30 minutes later.
The rotation was cancelled.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Frankfurt about 26 hours after the rejected takeoff.
