A MASWings de Havilland DHC-6-400 Twin Otter, registration 9M-SSD performing flight
MH-3553 from Miri to Mukah (Malaysia) with 8 passengers and 2 crew, landed on Mukah's runway 08 in good weather at about 09:20L (01:20Z) but veered left off the runway and came to a stop with all gear on soft ground with the left main tyre blown almost abeam the terminal about 960 meters/3150 feet down the runway. There were no injuries, the aircraft sustained minor damage to the left main wheel.

Malaysia's Ministry of Transport released their final report concluding the probable cause of the incident was:
It is believed that the tyre was deflated due to the excessive force being acted on the left main wheel during skid on the runway thus causing the tyre cover bead to dislodge from the wheel hub assembly. The reason for the skid was not technically inclined as the aircraft brakes were confirmed to operating normally.
According to the crew reported the aircraft touched down "positively", the crew noticed the aircraft banked to the left. Center line was maintained using rudder pedal inputs, however, as speed decayed the aircraft veered to the left.
The aircraft does not feature an anti-skid system, the brakes pressure is directly proportional to the pilot inputs on the brakes pedal.
