A Miat Mongolian Airlines Canadair CRJ-700, registration JU-1700 performing flight
OM-67 from Ulaanbaatar to Ulgit (Mongolia), departed Ulaanbaatar's runway 29 and climbed to 11000 meters (FL361). About 190nm northwest of Ulaanbaatar the crew decided to return to Ulaanbaatar and entered a hold for about 25 minutes, then positioned for a safe landing at a normal speed on runway 29 about 100 minutes after departure.
A passenger reported the crew announced problems with the flaps. Following the return to Ulaanbaatar the aircraft performed a test flight about 3 hours later, then resumed the flight and reached Ulgit with a delay of about 7 hours.
On Jun 10th 2025 The Aviation Herald received information that the crew received a "XFLOV PUMP INOP" message, worked the related checklists and switched to gravity feed mode for fuel, but subsequently detected a fuel imbalance and returned to Ulaanbaatar. An examination did not find any fault, therefore a test flight of about one hour was performed with no anomaly and the aircraft was returned to service.
