An Air Niugini Boeing 767-300, registration P2-PXV performing flight
PX-3 from Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea) to Brisbane,QL (Australia), was enroute at FL390 over the Pacific Ocean about 340nm south of Port Moresby when the crew decided to return to Port Moresby due to a cracked windshield. The aircraft landed safely in Port Moresby about 1:50 hours after departure.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration P2-PXB reached Brisbane with a delay of about 4:40 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 7.5 hours after landing.
