A Nordwind Airbus A321-200, registration VQ-BOD performing flight N4-123 from Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) to Simferopol (Ukraine), was enroute at FL310 about 150nm southwest of Rostov (Russia) when the crew initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft descended to FL100 and continued to destination and was on final approach to runway 19 when the crew needed to go around due to strong windshear, went around and positioned for another approach to runway 19 concluding with a safe landing.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Simferopol for about 12.5 hours, then resumed service climbing to FL320.

The status of Crimea and Simferopol is disputed. According to international law and United Nations the Crimea belong to the Ukraine although Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
