An Air Nostrum Canadair CRJ-1000 on behalf of Iberia, registration EC-MUG performing flight
IB-1222 from Nantes (France) to Madrid,SP (Spain), departed Nantes' runway 21 but burst a tyre. The aircraft continued takeoff, but suffered an engine (CF34), stopped the climb at 2500 feet and returned to Nantes for a safe landing on runway 21 about 15 minutes after departure.
The runway needed to be closed for a number of hours causing a number of diversions and low fuel declarations.
The flight was cancelled.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Nantes about 25 hours after landing.
