A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration AP-BLY performing flight
PK-217 from Peshawar (Pakistan) to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), was climbing out of Peshawar's runway 35 when the crew stopped the climb at about 8000 feet due to the cabin not pressurizing properly. The aircraft returned to Peshawar for a safe landing on runway 35 about 20 minutes after departure.
The aircraft remained on the ground for about 90 minutes, then departed again climbing to FL380 and is estimated to reach Abu Dhabi with a delay of about 90 minutes.
The airline reported a technical malfunction prompted the return.
