A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-500, registration AP-BHI performing flight PK-632 from Sukkur to Islamabad (Pakistan) with 54 people on board, was on final approach to Islamabad's runway 28L about 2nm before touchdown when a bird impacted the right hand engine (PW127E), the crew subsequently received a fire warning for the right hand engine. The crew shut the engine down and continued for a safe landing on runway 28L.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Islamabad about 25 hours after landing.

Pakistan's CAA reported the aircraft with 54 people on board suffered an engine fire warning in one of its engines.
