AA-5561 from Washington National,DC to Birmingham,AL (USA), was climbing out of Washington's runway 01 when the crew stopped the climb at 9000 feet reporting problems with the cabin pressure. The aircraft returned to Washington National for a safe landing on runway 01 about 30 minutes after departure.
The aircraft remained on the ground for about 5 hours, then departed again and reached Birmingham with a delay of 5:20 hours.
