QF-1 (dep Jul 13th) from Singapore (Singapore) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL400 about 60nm eastsoutheast of Frankfurt/Main (Germany) when the crew initiated a descent to FL280 due to the failure of their autopilots and thus non-compliance with RVSM criteria. The aircraft continued to London for a safe landing about 80 minutes later.
