A Royal Air Maroc Boeing 787-8, registration CN-RGT performing flight
AT-249 from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) to Casablanca (Morocco), was enroute at FL380 about 130nm northeast of Tunis (Tunisia) when the crew decided to divert to Tunis due to some technical problem. The aircraft landed safely on Tunis' runway 19 about 30 minutes later.
A passenger reported there was loud and continuous noise, the source of the noise remained unclear.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Tunis for about 22 hours, then continued the journey as flight AT-7249 and reached Casablanca with a delay of about 22 hours.
