An Air Seychelles Airbus A320-200N, registration S7-VEV performing flight HM-22 from Mahe (Seychelles) to Tel Aviv (Israel) with 128 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 90nm south of Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) when the crew decided to divert to Jeddah reporting an eletrical problem on board. The aircraft landed safely on Jeddah's runway 34C about 25 minutes later.

The airline reported the aircraft diverted due to an electrical malfunction.

Passengers reported there was an electrical smell on board, the flight attendants were running through the cabin.

A replacement Airbus A320-200N registration S7-PTI positioned to Jeddah, resumed the flight and reached Tel Aviv with a delay of about 15 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Jeddah about 17 hours after landing.
