A Shree Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration 9N-ANF performing flight N9-221 from Kathmandu to Dhangari (Nepal), was climbing out of Kathmandu when the crew stopped the climb at 16000 feet due to cabin pressure problems, performed the procedure to keep clear of the mountaineous terrain and returned to Kathmandu for a safe landing about 20 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 8 hours before returning to service.

Kathmandu Airport reported the aircraft returned due to a pressurization fault.
