A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N8691A performing flight WN-171 from Atlanta,GA to Chicago Midway,IL (USA), was climbing out of Atlanta's runway 26L when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet advising ATC, they didn't want to climb any higher due to cabin altitude. The aircraft returned to Atlanta for a safe landing on runway 26R about 25 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-700 registration N204WN reached Chicago with a delay of about 2.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 36 hours after landing back.
