SY-286 from Seattle,WA to Minneapolis,MN (USA) with 176 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 120nm east of Spokane,WA (USA) when the crew reported the failure of the left hand engine (CFM56), shut the engine down, turned around and diverted to Spokane for a safe landing on runway 21 about 30 minutes later.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Spokane about 16 hours after landing.
