A THY Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-200 freighter, registration TC-JOO performing flight
TK-6380 from Chennai (India) to Istanbul (Turkey), was enroute westwards at FL340 on airway P574, when the crew requested to climb to FL360 via CPDLC. The controller replied "IMPOSSIBLE DUE TO TRAFFIC", however, the crew initiated the climb to FL360.
A Flydubai Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration A6-FKR performing flight FZ-429 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Kozhikode (India), was enroute eastwards at FL350 causing a loss of separation between the two aircraft.
A loss of separation standard was also observed with a Qatar Airways A320 flying at FL360 westwards ahead of
TK-6380 and an Emirates Boeing 777-300 at FL350 flying eastwards.
India's AAIB rated the loss of separation between
TK-6380 and FZ-429 a serious incident and opened an investigation.
