A TUI Airlines Nederland Boeing 787-8, registration PH-TFJ performing flight
TB-3011 from Brussels (Belgium) to Hurghada (Egypt), was climbing through FL320 out of Brussels when the crew decided to return to Brussels. The aircraft landed safely on Brussels' runway 25L about 55 minutes after departure.
Passengers reported there was a flash and bang followed by faint burning smell in the cabin.
The airline reported the aircraft returned to Brussels as a precaution. Maintenance and crew duty time limits did not permit the aircraft to depart again, the passengers were taken to hotels.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Brussels about 30 hours after landing.
